WHO WILL MAKE THE CHOICE ON THE LANGUAGE FOR WORLD AUXILIARY USE?

Which criteria will be uppermost in the minds of those seeking Language Reform, cannot be known. But such criteria are certainly likely to influence to choice of people to make a decision on an IAL.

Whether financial, bureaucratic, educational, intellectual or creative qualities will be the ones sought for decision-makers on Language Reform, we still don't know.

Perhaps those interested in Global Communication might ponder this question. The science of Linguistics, and the disciplines acquired by Linguists do not automatically qualify people in this area as the most suitable to advise the rest of humanity on the most suitable path to Global Communication.

If Language Reform is now due on the Planet, then concerned citicens ought to consider who might be best suited to give us advice on this. Currently, the experts in the area are self-appointed amateurs, Interlinguists and promoters of designed language projects. If a decision is to be made - and possibly soon - then, perhaps people with creativity should be co-opted into the process.
