ISO 639 : Lingvokodoj

ISO 639-1 is the alpha-2 (two-letter) code, established in 1988.

ISO 639-2 is the alpha-3 (three-letter) code, established in 1998.
Its set of languages is a superset of those in the alpha-2 standard.

The following table is sorted by alpha-3 codes. It is uptodate as of 17 March 2002. When a language has two alpha-3 codes, the bibliographic code is shown first, the terminology code second.

Many of the Esperanto names for alpha-2 codes were drawn from the Lingvokodoj table on pages 22 and 23 of Litova Stelo #144, Marto-Aprilo 2002: Ĉi-sube vi trovos kodojn... laŭ internacia normo ISO 639. La tabelo estas prenita el "Poŝ-atlaso de Monda Turismo" (Bydgoszcz, 2001).
